Day 1
Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve – Samburu Sopa Lodge
Depart Nairobi early morning and drive north toward Samburu National Reserve (approximately 310 km, 6–7 hours).
The journey passes through central Kenya highlands, crossing the equator near Nanyuki before descending into the semi-arid northern region.
Arrive at Samburu Sopa Lodge in time for check-in and lunch.
After a short rest, proceed for your first afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve.
Focus on wildlife along the Ewaso Nyiro River, where animals gather to drink.
Expect sightings of elephants, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, gerenuks, and possibly lions or leopards.
Return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and overnight stay.
